Ferrari 250 GTO - Car Kit - Base Kit

Ferrari 250 GTO - Car Kit - Base Kit 3D print model

Description

3D Printable Car Kit. This is a 3d printable base kit of Ferrari 250 GTO. It results in a generic GTO that you can paint however you like. Extra parts for particular GTO's (3451GT, 3757GT) will be released in the future as separate products. The Ferrari 250 GTO is a GT car produced by Ferrari from 1962 to 1964 for homologation into the FIA's Group 3 Grand Touring Car category. It was powered by Ferrari's Tipo 168/62 Colombo V12 engine. It is currently the most expensive car in the world, as of June 2018 when a 1963 250 GTO (chassis 4153GT) was sold in a private sale for $70 million.

The model is very detailed, so make sure your printer can handle all the details before buying it. It is in real-world scale but with increased thickness overall, so make sure you decide which scale you want to print the parts at. The first part (001-bodywork-body-main-paint) is also the biggest, so you can decide while previewing it. If you want to sample a couple of parts to preview and test print (including the biodypaint part) before buying please use this link and download the appropriate archive: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/1R3JfsosR40cHbkbEBuf88TfWUNhd_ZDB

It contains 227 interlocking parts in SolidWorks assembly, STL, 3MF, F3D, OBJ, STEP and USDZ files. You can print them separated or you can choose to merge multiple parts and print together. There is a STL containing all parts merged so you can preview the whole model before you start printing, and there are multiple STL files for each part. I recommend the Solidworks, F3D, 3MF or STEP files for printing as they have a better resolution than STL.

It also contains multiple PNG files for artwork (dash gauges, emblems etc) to be printed and glued to the model and some SVG files with bumpmaps for the tire sidewalls and spinners if you want to use them for displacement (3D texture).

The 3ds Max files included only work using the Power Nurbs addon.

Use 7-Zip to extract the archives if you have issues with them.

You are allowed to sell the 3d printed parts or the whole kit after printing, but you are not allowed to share or sell the digital 3d model.

Don't forget to rate the model. Thanks.

In an earlier review I alreaded commented on the designers support, which is great. Now that I have converted all the sldprt files into a (for me) usable format (which is Shapr3D), I must say that I am deeply impressed with the result. This is really a fantastic design! Top rating from me.
