This is a highly detailed, historically accurate 3D model of the European Palaces (Xiyang Lou) complex within the Old Summer Palace (Yuanmingyuan), the legendary imperial garden in Beijing, China. Constructed in the mid-18th century under the Qianlong Emperor, these structures were designed by Jesuit missionaries like Giuseppe Castiglione, representing a unique fusion of European Baroque and Rococo styles with traditional Chinese imperial aesthetics. The model meticulously recreates the grandeur of these lost architectural masterpieces, which were destroyed in 1860.
The model features:Main Palace Building: A grand, symmetrical structure with a multi-tiered roof clad in vibrant blue glazed tiles, accented by a striking golden-yellow glazed section at the apex, symbolizing imperial authority. The white marble facade is richly adorned with intricate Baroque-style carvings, including scrollwork, floral motifs, and mythical creatures, while the walls are punctuated by tall, narrow stained-glass windows in vivid, jewel-toned patterns. Two prominent clock towers, with golden clock faces, crown the roofline.
Fountain Area: The iconic Golden Deer Fountain (Jinluu Quan) is fully recreated, featuring a central stone pedestal surrounded by a herd of meticulously detailed golden deer statues, set within a winding, multi-tiered stone basin. The adjacent water cascade, with its ornate stone balustrades and decorative urns, is also included, capturing the complex hydraulic engineering of the original garden.Supporting Structures & Details: The model includes the wide stone staircase leading to the main entrance, the surrounding balustrades with carved balusters, and the expansive paved courtyard. Every element, from the delicate carvings on the stone railings to the texture of the glazed tiles, is rendered with historical precision.
