This is a highly detailed, full-complex 3D model of Tang Dynasty Chinese Imperial Palace Architecture, capturing the grandeur, symmetry, and structural sophistication of China’s most iconic imperial building style during the golden age of the Tang Dynasty (618–907 AD). The model faithfully recreates the complete layout of a Tang imperial garden palace, including the main hall, auxiliary pavilions, covered corridors, stone balustrades, and a tranquil lotus pond—all built to historical specifications and archaeological findings.
The model includes:
Main Hall (Dian): The central, multi-tiered imperial hall with a majestic double-eaved hip-and-gable roof, covered in dark grey glazed tiles and crowned with a golden finial. The facade features a colonnade of red lacquered wooden pillars and beams, set against white plastered walls, with lattice windows and wooden doors. The model accurately represents two defining features of traditional Chinese palace architecture:
Dougong (Bracket Sets): Intricate, multi-layered wooden brackets that transfer the roof load to the columns, while also serving as a decorative element with vibrant, gilded paintings of dragons, phoenixes, and floral motifs.
Mortise-and-Tenon Joinery (Sunmao): The traditional Chinese woodworking technique that uses interlocking joints without nails or adhesives to create a flexible, earthquake-resistant structure, a hallmark of Tang Dynasty engineering.
Notes:The trees in the scene are created with VRMesh proxy files, enabling large-scale duplication without causing system lag.
