The White House and the Red Palace Potala Palace, with distinctive Tibetan style and magnificent momentum, are the existing complete palace style buildings in Xizang, and are known as one of the world's top ten earth buildings. The White House is named after its white exterior walls and serves as a place for lamas to live, socialize, and engage in political activities. Due to the constant sunshine here, it is called the East and West Sunshine Hall. The Red Palace is located at the top center of the Potala Palace, with a red exterior wall consisting of numerous stupas and various Buddhist halls.
