DESCRIPTION

In 1958, the f3h-2 demon fighter of the 121st Navy carrier based Fighter Squadron (vf-121) was hoisted onto the deck of the aircraft carrier John Hancock (cv-19) in San Francisco. It is rare to see such a deployment scenario. It may be that the accident rate of early jet carrier based aircraft landing is relatively high, which can avoid some unnecessary losses.
