3D Automation Lead
We are looking for a 3D Automation Lead to join our growing 3D team to work on innovative solutions that will be used by the global CGTrader designer community. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a quickly growing company and impact the development of the whole 3D ecosystem.
To be successful in this role you must
- Have experience in a large codebase or implementation of a tool from scratch
- Be able to find simple solutions to complex problems
- Have a good knowledge of Software Architecture Designs and best practices
- Have ownership and responsibility for a major aspect of product functionality from back-end algorithms through to the user interface
- Be able to propose optimization, code refactoring, and overall system improvement strategies
- Be able to grow your team, help them to achieve professional goals by conducting daily meetings, 1on1, performance reviews
- Have knowledge of long-term project maintenance (and how to do it right by eliminating bottlenecks)
Other valuable skills
- A good understanding of Autodesk 3ds Max, digital 3D content creation software use, and automation processes in general
- Good knowledge of C++, C# or Python
- You have experience in writing flexible, user-friendly tools and ensuring their interoperability in complex pipelines
- You might have also tried some of the following:
- Creating tools for Autodesk 3dsMax SDK using C++
- Creating tools for Autodesk Maya using MEL Script/C++
- Understanding specifics of VRay / Arnold software renderers
- Creating tools for Unity3D / Unreal engines using C# / C++
- Creating scripts for Blender using Python
- Creating shaders for use in real-time applications
