This is a sword for the adventurer starting out who doesn't have much gold yet. Consisting of plain steel with a simple wrapped leather handle, it stills shows fine detail of tarnishing and nicks from time and use. The blade is a bit wider than most compared to the length. Besides performing well as a permanent item in a fantasy game, it would also serve as a placeholder until the budget allows something more elaborate.
