Itatiaia - Architect Oscar Niemeyer 3D model

It occupies a land with 1.554m² trapezoid-shaped, with the straight forward and curled back, keeping certain similarities with another project made by the architect during this time: the Copan building in Sao Paulo. It has 15 floors and 60 apartments. It is a building with its own characteristics and almost unique in the city: ceiling height of 3 meters, extensive use of louvers on both sides of building and urban design that was unconfigured over time: initially there were no walls or railings around the building, with free access between Sister Serafina Avenue (front) and Rua Coronel Brill (rear), integrating the public space to particular through the use of stilts on the ground floor. Increased urban insecurity demanded the removal of this typical feature of modern architecture and niemeyeriana.
