DESCRIPTION

1/1800th scale Hosho Aircraft Carrier model. Certain elements not to scale.

The Hosho was the first ship designed and commissioned as an Aircraft Carrier. Previous aircraft carriers had been re-designed from battle-cruisers and battleships. While it originally had a superstructure and exhaust pipes which extended above the flight deck, they were removed in 1924, leaving just a single antennae higher than the flight deck. The Hosho was equipped with four five and a half-inch guns and just a few anti-aircraft guns. The Hosho could carry fifteen aircraft.

This is part of my collection of WWII warships, keep an eye out for more to come. If you have a specific request, message me and I'll bump it up my list.

Update 13 Aug 19: Added boats.

Tested with PLA at .08mm layer height with .4mm nozzle.
