28mm Scale Urban Display Plinth with 5 bases 3D print model
Description
Display plinth for 3D printing with four 32mm bases and one 40mm base (for the squad leader or character). SPACE MARINES NOT INCLUDED, they are just shown to give an idea of the size.
Bases are supplied as a solid part and the plinth as a solid model or with the bottom hollowed out to leave a 3mm thickness.
I have found the best results from printing the bases flat on the printer bed (no supports needed at all due to the design) using a flexible build plate.
IMPORTANT: Some sand or other rough material will need to be added to the raised areas to act as the smaller rubble size you prefer.

Great value and great design! Makes for a really nice urban display that fits any kind of industrialized planet or timeframe. A nice combination of precision fine detail that is both in scale and yet still deep enough to take a pin wash when painting (or thinned contrast paint, shader, etc.) and simple terrain that lends itself to sands, cork rubble, texture paints, big bits of rubble (broken up plaster or other 3D printed goodies), and I love the way the fallen light is partially hollowed on the finished side to allow for some wiring and cables to pour out. 10/10! Note! For a small printer like mine (Mars 2) I had to cut the plinth up into 4 parts over 2 prints (I imported the STL into Blender and used the Boxcutter add on) What's nice is I was able to line my cuts up with the brickwork so the parts fit together perfectly after printing without cutting up any detail. Prints came out great first try (using Siraya Tech Fast resin and the full recommended settings they provide for Citubox).
