Irwin MAN from Mars space toy figure

Irwin MAN from Mars space toy figure 3D print model

Description

Scan of a popular space toy from the 1950s. Original one had a clockwork mechanism which allowed him to walk and move hands up and down. This is just the scan of the figure, without engine. Arms are in separate files and can be plugged in the shoulders. one can 3dprint the figure making it hollow and add a personal mechanism or just keeping him this way moving arms manually. I've avoided to put a helmet like sphere because it should be very heavy as a file to be printed really transparent clear and results may be discouraging. My advice, like toy collectors always do when not buying an expensive repro, is to get a hollow clear ball split in two, very easy and cheap to find and carve a hole for the neck. A printable antenna is offered here and can be glued on the clear sphere once you've got it. Comes nice also printing it in a reduced size (which is actually 24 centimeters) to get a miniaturized version of a nostalgic memorabilia.
