This STL model set represents a double chemical storage tank designed for H0 / HO scale model railway layouts and industrial dioramas.

The set includes two cylindrical tanks (20 mm diameter, 70 mm height each) placed side by side. One tank is equipped with a vertical access ladder leading to a shared maintenance platform with protective railing. The tanks are connected through piping, flanges, and valves, reflecting realistic industrial design.

For easy 3D printing and assembly, the model is divided into three stackable sections. To improve stability beyond gluing, the parts are designed to accommodate a 6 mm threaded rod (¼ inch) through the center.

The tanks are designed as hollow-body structures, allowing hobbyists to hide LED wiring inside for illumination effects, adding further realism to dioramas.

3D printing settings-Designed for FDM printers only

• no supports required-PLA recommended-0.4 mm nozzle-0.2 mm layer height-All parts are designed to lie flat on the print bed for optimal print quality.-Grated walkways can be printed without top and bottom layers, using ~65% grid infill to simulate realistic industrial flooring.

A threaded rod (6 mm or 1/4 inch) is recommended to assemble and align the central parts. Pre-modeled holes accommodate this.

If 1/4 inch threaded rod does not slide through easily, drill out the holes to 1/4 inch diameter.

A brim or skirt may improve adhesion depending on your printer setup.

Painting Recommendations:-Prime in silver or grey, then highlight valves or risers in yellow or contrasting colors-Apply a sepia wash or darker colors to bring out surface detail and simulate grime or rust-For railings, ladders, and walkways, drybrushing adds realistic weathering.

The file named _preview has a lower polygon count and is only intended to give you a 3D preview of the entire assembly. Use the other files for printing.
