Tonfa is a weapon used by the To people of Ryukyu. There are various stories about its origin, such as a shortened paddle or a weapon used as a daily grindstone handle, and there is also a possibility that a similar weapon called Goi (拐) was introduced from China. Its shape is a vertical bar in the shape of the letter ㅏ with a short horizontal bar inserted vertically into a cylindrical or square column. In addition to swinging the horizontal bar with centrifugal force to attack, it is a weapon that can be used like a sasumata, jitte, sickle, or hammer by holding the vertical bar. In modern times, some American police forces use it for suppression purposes.
We plan to create a variety of world weapons, so please look forward to it!
