Energix Blaster for Optimus Prime 3D print model

Wanted to design some new weaponry for Optimus, inspired by the Fall of Cybertron aesthetic - so here's presenting the Energix Blaster!

Was fun playing around with the rough geometry of the piece and soon it fell into having this tri-polygon barrel/muzzle design where the energy in the blaster is channeled and then focused to be unleashed in a devastating blast upon the enemy!

After being printed out, we gave the Energix Blaster as color scheme closer to that of Optimus' himself.

The barrel sports a 5mm port which allow all variety of effect parts to be added on. A rear-ward facing 5mm port allows for backblast effect parts or even the use of other similar accessories like this rubber tubing to be used.

There's also the option of having this blaster to be forearm mounted if your bots have connector ports there too.

Here's a closer look at this piece itself. It 3d prints pretty easily vertically with the muzzle facing upwards, after which it can be painted or colored up as one likes. :)
