The creation of the Goliath robot was dictated by the strict need to obtain the cheapest possible military robotic system for the isolated colonies of the Advanced Development Alliance. After the second War for the New Genesis, the metropolis almost completely abandoned the military support of small settlements, concentrating protection on its own capitals and major industrial plants.
