Herodotus was an ancient Greek historian known as the “father of history.” Unfortunately, most details about Herodotus' life cannot be remembered, except that he was born around 484 BC in the Carian city of Halicarnassus (now Bodrum), that he continued the birth of a new branch of science, and that he served as a source of resources for future historians.
