Description
  • The archive contains a UE4 project (Version 4.26.1) with twelve types of plants. A total of 65 unique meshes with vertex wind animation, and 165 including color variations.
  • Each tree has 3 LODs, the last of which is a billboard.
  • Texture resolution mostly - 2048х2048, but the settings are set to a smaller size for optimization. Check the size of the textures if you need maximum quality.
  • The number of polygons does not exceed 30,000.
  • Material includes settings that allow you to quickly and easily change basic parameters such as brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, subsurface intensity and some other, depending on your needs and lighting. Also in the material there is an instance randomization function, which allows you to achieve variety even when using only one asset, which can be very useful for optimization.
  • Note! To avoid blurring the leaves in the wind, you must activate the function Output velocities during base pass in the project settings, and use the plants through Foliage Tool and set mobility to dynamic. Otherwise, blurring of the leaves may occur depending on the strength of the wind.
  • Why are some plants duplicated with different colors? You can easily specify any color in the settings, but in some plants, flowers and leaves are on the same texture. Therefore, changing the color of the flowers will lead to an unwanted change in the color of the leaves. To avoid this, you will have to edit several textures in other programs, duplicate the mesh and material. To save you time, I have already done this, and have prepared a number of variations for you.
