Notes: An adaptable plant, bracken readily colonises disturbed areas and grows in pastures, deciduous woodlands, coniferous woodlands, and hillsides. It is aggressive, spreads quickly, and is very difficult to eradicate once established. Bracken is found in temperate and subtropical regions in both hemispheres and has a more or less global distribution. It is native to Europe, Eastern Asia and North America. In America, it is found throughout the continental United States and much of Canada. It ranges north to southern Alaska, and south it reaches the portions of Mexico. Its fronds are used as thatching for houses and as fodder for animals. The younng fronds and fiddleheads are cooked as vegetables or in soups in some parts of Asia. However, the leaves of bracken contain an array of poisonous and carcinogenic compounds and may be harmful to consume.

  6. Dying -- 58,376 polygons, 101,978 vertices -- 1.28m tall. Just hanging onto life and showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage.
  7. Dead -- 50,678 polygons, 84,825 vertices -- 1.21m tall. Showing only dead and broken foliage.
  8. Ancient -- 58,641 polygons, 105,636 vertices -- 1.6m tall. Old plant, larger than normal.
  9. Young -- 46,169 polygons, 87,410 vertices -- 99.87cm tall. Smaller, some half way through its maturing cycle.
  10. Immature -- 60,534 polygons, 93,549 vertices -- 77.05cm tall. Very small and young, fronds partially curled.
  11. Fiddleheads -- 26,090 polygons, 37,808 vertices -- 15.87cm tall. Recently sprouted, showing the characteristic fiddlehead of the emerging plant.
  12. Small Patch -- 26,473 polygons, 48,697 vertices -- 1.28m tall. Smaller patch with less plants.
  13. Large Patch -- 205,878 polygons, 379,824 vertices -- 1.33m tall. Larger patch with more plants.
  14. Lower Poly -- 18,154 polygons, 46,192 vertices -- 1.28m tall. Standard model with fewer polys to save system resources. Intended for mid or distant renders.
  15. Higher Poly -- 115,464 polygons, 186,568 vertices -- 1.28m tall. Standard model with more polys for greater detail. Intended for close-up renders.

Re-meshing and any reasonable modification available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product.

The textures included are mainly 4k (4096x4096); additional texture sizes of medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny <1k textures can also be downloaded. Separated alpha maps can be download as well.

EVERYPlant has a mission ... which is to model every plant species in the world (plus some extinct, fantasy and sci-fi variations as well)! Okay, maybe not every plant, perhaps just the identifiably different species which have at least a common name!
