Description

UPDATE 1.2: Added connector to the hull's halves, fixed scale on the wing's ball and socket

3D model of an Arrakis Ornithopter created in Blender 2.93. Inspired by the Atreides Thopter depicted in Dune 2021. Perfect for 3D print.

Features:

  • 1/100 Scale. A single wing is set to have be 30 cm (12 inches) long. You can scale the entire set down if you need to stay within your printing area.
  • Optimized for 3d printing.
  • Ideal tabletop model for wargaming.

Hi, is the entire fuselage hollow? Looking at modifying the design to fit actual avionics and an FPV camera.

Love to see this with the parts split out into individual files. That creates freedom to scale up (corner to corner placement on build surface) and align layer lines for better post production surface clean up and painting. Looks outstanding!

Not Recommended
Practically unable to be 3d printed. The wings almost entirely float off of the build plate. Little to no initial build plate adhesion. Beautiful 3d model, but not suited for 3d printing.
