-About the model:

  • This model is made for games specifically.
  • Model was made using Blender3D modeling software.
  • Textures were made using Substance Painter texturing software.
  • This model is built using real world scale.

-Model contents:

  • 1 OBJ files with no modifiers, base mesh only.

-Model structure:

  • Model is consisted of 10 objects in the ordinary versions: Pipe_Holder, Pipe_Straight_Long, Pipe_Straight, Pipe_Straight_Short, Pipe_Angle_90, Pipe_Angle_45, Pipe_Intersect_Cross, Pipe_Intersect_T, Pipe_Valve, and Pipe_Cap.

-Mesh information:

  • Quad topology only, no N-gons, triangles or poles with more than five edges connected to it.
  • Mesh is lowpoly, designed to work in games without a big load on performance.
  • Base meshes combined (one of each) have 5678 quads (11356 triangles)and 7356 vertices.
  • Mesh with least polys has 184 quads (Pipe_Holder), and the most has 1697 (Pipe_Valve).

-Material information:

  • Model has 1 material named Pipes_Mat.
  • The material has 5 texture maps: base color, ambient occlusion, metalness, roughness and normal.
  • All textures are in .png format.
  • Textures come in 1k, 2k, 4k resolutions.
  • No shaders are used in this model, only textures which should be placed in their corresponding places (.blend native files have textures already packed and placed in their slots, no need to do extra work if using blender).
  • Smoothing in blender is done by autosmooth option set to the angle of 55 degrees.

-UV maps information:

  • Manually unwrapped UV's with no overlaping except for the bolts, they share the same texel space.
  • The textures for this model were painted entirely by hand, in substance painter. This method eliminates uv seams in the texture.

-Intended use for the model:

  • The model is designed for games that have realtime rendering engines such as Unity and Unreal.
  • The model can be used for Virtual Reality and Agumented Reality.
  • The model could be used for mobile games, depending on requirements.

-Preview renders info:

  • Images shown in the preview are done with the base mesh only, no modifiers were used.
  • Model is rendered in blender 2.83 with Cycles rendering engine, each image is marked in the bottom right corner with the name of the rendering engine and modifiers used.
  • The results you get may be different depending on lighting and rendering engine you use.
  • Lighting was done using an HDRI which is NOT included with the model, you get a clean scene with no lights, planes or cameras.
