Description

Irons of this type were heated on the stove or in the oven. Before heated, the handle was removed so that it would not burn out from the hot metal. After the metal cooled down, it was heated again.

This iron has a cracked wooden handle over its long life. The handle was rewound with a rope. And then the handle burned a little. It seems once they forgot to unfasten it from the iron.
