In electronic scales there is a display on which the weighing results and other information are displayed. The simplest models of electronic devices operate on the same principle as their mechanical counterparts, but there is one difference: in electronic scales the result is displayed on an electronic display. In more advanced and expensive models there is a block of built-in memory where the results of previous weighings are recorded. This helps to control all changes by comparing the readings. The most heaped models of electronic scales (as a rule, they are expensive) are equipped with several sensors and a small computer, through which the incoming data are analyzed and information about the distribution in the body of the user of muscles, fat and bone tissue is provided.

В электронных шкалах имеется дисплей, на котором отображаются результаты взвешивания и другая информация. Простейшие модели электронных устройств работают по тому же принципу, что и их механические аналоги, но есть одна разница: в электронных шкалах результат отображается на электронном дисплее. В более продвинутых и дорогих моделях имеется блок встроенной памяти, где записываются результаты предыдущих взвешиваний. Это помогает контролировать все изменения путем сравнения показаний. Самые навороченные модели электронных весов (как правило, они дорогие) оснащены несколькими датчиками и небольшим компьютером, с помощью которого анализируются входящие данные и информация о распределении в теле пользователя мышц, жира и кости ткани.
