-About the model:

  • This is a model of a generic office desk with drawers, designed using multiple different references from the web.
  • It is designed for use in archviz and renders, and it is built using real world scale.

-Model contents:

  • 2 Native .blend files with no modifiers, base mesh only.
  • 1 OBJ file with no modifiers, base mesh only.
  • 1 FBX file with no modifiers, base mesh only.
  • All texture folders are in .zip archives.

-Model structure:

  • Blend file named Office_desk has 5 objects, all parented to the main desk object for easier manipulation in the scene. In this file highest resolution textures are packed inside the .blend file. No modifiers applied to the mesh.
  • Blend file named Office_desk_(no_textures) is the same as the one above, except it has no textures applied,with materials prepared for manual texture assignment.
  • FBX and OBJ files named Office_desk contain only the mesh with no modifiers applied.

-Mesh information:

  • Clean topology with no N-gons.
  • Mesh is fully subdivision-ready.
  • Base mesh for all objects combined has 38018 quads ( 76004 triangles), and 39500 vertices.
  • Each object has vertex groups that are logically named and correspond to parts of the objects mesh for easier editing.

-Material information:

  • Model has 8 materials with PBR shader.
  • All materials have 5 texture maps: base color, ambient occlusion, metalness, roughness and normal.
  • All textures are in .png format.
  • Textures come in 1k, 2k, 4k resolutions, with max 4k rsolution only on larger surfaces of the model, where it makes sense.If the surface is smaller, max textures for those parts are 1k and 2k (smallest parts of the model with unique materials).
  • No shaders are used in this model, only textures which should be placed in their corresponding places (.blend native file has textures already packed and placed in their slots, no need to do extra work if using blender).

-UV maps information:

  • Manually placed UV seams, each material has its own uv 0-1 space and with no overlaping islands per material, globally per overall model uv islands overlap. UV's are automatically packed with sufficient edge padding.

-Intended use for the model:

  • The model is designed for renders and archviz specifically.
  • The model cannot be used in games without modifications/editing due to high poly count (depending on the engine).
  • The model cannot be used for mobile games without considerable modifications/editing.
  • The model cannot be 3D printed without considerable modifications/editing.

-Preview renders info:

  • Preview Images were rendered using subdivison modifier and max resolution textures.
  • Model is rendered in blender 4.5.0 with Cycles rendering engine.
  • The results you get may be different depending on lighting and rendering engine you use.
  • Lighting was done using internal custom lighting setup in blender, which is NOT included with the model.
  • You get a clean scene with only the model in it, no lights, planes or cameras.
