Description

Count on elegance with the Gem Vertical Pendant by Ridgely Studios. Toronto-based designer Zac Ridgely created this piece to evoke the look of an abacus, an ancient calculating tool that involves a series of diamond-shaped counting beads string along a wire. This fixture portrays that tool with its own diamond-shaped bead made of hand-blown opal glass to create a diffuser for the energy-efficient, integrated LED lamping that glows warmly inside. Suspended on a slender steel rod, it appears to float in place above its environment.
