Soft Edge 12 is a chair designed by Iskos-Berlin for the Danish brand HAY. The seat and back of the chair are made of molded plywood and are available in several veneers. Through innovative plywood technology, extreme lightness has been combined with strong curves, creating a three-dimensionality that is not usually possible with 2D plywood. The seat is softly shaped and has edges that curve away from the body to create centered comfort for constant movement. The legs of the Soft Edge 12 are made of solid oak, creating a unified look. The chair is both durable and stackable, perfect for a variety of settings such as restaurants, classrooms and in the home kitchen. The chair is also available with an upholstered seat.

Iskos-Berlin was founded in Copenhagen in 2010 by Boris Berlin and Aleksej Iskos. Together they work in industry, furniture, and graphic design. Their approach is described as See design as an art of storytelling, paying special attention to the essence of an object, which often defines the language of their designs.
