Stratostator ball in desert

Stratostator ball in desert 3D model

Description

Just five of the mysterious stratostators have been found so far, hovering by a pressure balance act in the dense levels of gas giants. The extreme voltage differentials present in their limbs pose a risk for closer exploration. Unexplained black vortices seem to crawl over their rotating structure.

All textures power of two. Opacity, normal and specular maps. Limbs animated by Skin modifiers, vortices animated with Sprays and metaballs in Max.

Rendered with Max standard textures in Scanline mode. Lense effects added in Photoshop. FBX and OBJ exports will have simpler materials. Concept and design by the artist.

3D Studio Max 9 file.
