Una Poké Ball (Pokébola en Hispanoamérica por el anime, モンスターボール Monstruo Ball en japonés), también conocida abreviadamente como ball, es un artilugio u objeto diseñado para servir dos funciones básicas en el mundo Pokémon, almacenar y transportar Pokémon, haciendo posible la captura de Pokémon.

Su nombre proviene del inglés, «ball», que significa bola; y el prefijo «Poké» extraído de pocket, que significa bolsillo. La construcción del nombre hace clara alusión a su forma esférica y su pequeño tamaño, que permiten su fácil transporte y resguardo en los bolsillos del entrenador. En este sentido, tiene gran influencia en el nombre «Pokémon», pues este también deriva de pocket, y monsters, formando «monstruos de bolsillo». Los Pokémon no podrían ser tales, si las Poké Ball que los contienen no tuviesen ese tamaño.

Las Poké Balls son posiblemente el símbolo más distintivo de la franquicia Pokémon. Además, en el mundo Pokémon también es frecuente encontrar referencias a estos aparatos, desde estadios de combate con su forma circular, hasta como elemento de decoración en paredes y suelos. El símbolo de las Poké Balls, también muy presente, consiste en dos semicírculos separados por la mitad, con otro círculo completo en el medio, que representa el botón de apertura.
