The car was a combination of a high-end Nash Ambassador drivetrain with a European chassis and handcrafted bodywork, making it the first sports car to be introduced by a major American car manufacturer since the Great Depression. It was the product of a partnership between Nash-Kelvinator and the British car manufacturer Donald Healy Automobile Company.
