Obi-Wan Kenobi, also known as Ben Kenobi, was a legendary Force-sensitive human male Jedi Master who served on the Jedi High Council during the final years of the Republic Era. As a Jedi General, Kenobi served in the Grand Army of the Republic that fought against the Separatist Droid Army during the Clone Wars. Kenobi, however, was forced into exile as a result of the Great Jedi Purge. As a mentor, Kenobi was responsible for training two members of the Skywalker family, Anakin Skywalker and Luke Skywalker, both of whom served in turn as his Padawan in the ways of the Force. Obi-Wan Kenobi proved himself to be a great military strategist and a highly studious man, demonstrating good knowledge on galactic history and conventions of war, like the Yavin Code. General Kenobi personally led his troops to many famous victories during the Clone Wars, and his persuasive demeanor earned him the moniker of The Negotiator. Despite his dislike of flying, Kenobi was an excellent pilot. During the Clone Wars, he led many attacks from the cockpit of his Jedi starfighter or his Jedi interceptor, proving to be an outstanding pilot when navigating through an asteroid field in pursuit of Jango Fett's ship and evading his seismic charges unscathed. In fact, Kenobi had once rather enjoyed flying, prior to an incident during and his Qui-Gon Jinn's mission to Pijal. Kenobi was also a skilled hand-to-hand combatant, having developed enough level of skill in unarmed combat so as to compete with Pre Vizsla, leader of the Death Watch, in unarmed techniques, though he outclassed the Mandalorian in lightsaber technique. During his duel with Jango Fett on Kamino, Kenobi was briefly deprived of his lightsaber, and fought the bounty hunter in unarmed combat. Furthermore, while he preferred lightsabers, Kenobi was an excellent marksman, as demonstrated during his time as Rako Hardeen in Moralo Eval's Box and by his defeat of Grievous with his own blaster. Around one thousand years later, the Clone Wars broke out. On certain occasions, Jedi, fighting side by side with clone troopers, would wear modified clone trooper armor. General Obi-Wan Kenobi wore clone trooper armor in the Battle of Muunilinst to protect himself from the lances of Durge and his army of swoop-riding assassin droids. During this same period, Jedi Knight Bardan Jusik was well known for wearing clone trooper armor into combat, and later on even full Beskar'gam. Later into the war, many Jedi wore chest plate armor that resembled modified clone armor designs. Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi were examples of Jedi that wore these designs. Often, many Jedi continued to wear modified clone trooper gauntlets with chest plates.Obi-Wan Kenobi's third lightsaber was the third, and final, lightsaber to be constructed and wielded by Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi during the Clone Wars after he lost his second one prior to the First Battle of Geonosis. He used the lightsaber in a duel with General Grievous, where he lost it and eventually reclaimed it, when it was given back to him by Clone Commander CC-2224 Cody. He would also use this lightsaber to duel his fallen apprentice Darth Vader on Mustafar and would continue to wield the weapon during his exile on Tatooine, although he was reluctant to use it as he kept himself hidden. After using the lightsaber against the Wookiee bounty hunter Krrsantan, Kenobi buried his lightsaber, along with the Skywalker lightsaber, in a chest out in the desert to avoid using it. However, when Senator Bail Prestor Organa begged him to leave Tatooine to save his daughter Leia, Kenobi uncovered the chest and wielded it during his mission to Daiyu. He continued to use the blade up until his death at the hands of Vader during their rematch on the Death Star. Obi-Wan's second apprentice, Luke Skywalker, would later use this weapon's design as a basis for the construction of his own lightsaber.
