This is a game ready, textured and animated model of a sun spider (solifugid). Sun spiders are a fearsome, lesser known cousins of spiders and scorpions. They do not use venom or build webs. They simply chase down their prey and eat anything they can tear down with their huge jaws. It's time they take their place in games ! The Maya file contains the mesh, skeleton and control rig in separate layers. The rig is simple and intuitive, just animate the parameters that aren't locked. If you are familiar with Maya character sets I've also included animation set file that also includes a couple of animations to get you started. (Animations are saved in "clips" folder but you view them in trax editor) The FBX version contains the mesh and the skeleton. All the animations are saved as skeleton animations in "clips" folder. I've also added PBR textures in a separate folder Tha sun spider works great in Unity. The package contains all the animations for a basic state-machine : Idle_long, Idle_short, Attack_move, Attack_static, Hit, Walk_inplace, Walk_forward, Strafe_left, Strafe_Right, Walk_backward, Jump_Down, Turn_Left, Turn_Right, Death.
