Republic Aviation’s P-47 Thunderbolt, also known as the "Jug," was the largest, heaviest, and most expensive fighter aircraft in history to be powered by a single reciprocating engine. It was one of the main United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) fighters of World War II, and served with other Allied air forces. The P-47 was effective in air combat but proves especialls adept at ground attack. It had eight 50mm machine guns, four per wing.
- Perfect
- You need flip the 2 and the Z It should show as on both sides of the plane as : 2 Z D in that order on both sides. Naturally on one side the 2 Z will be near the cockpit and on the other side it will be closer to the tail of the plane. I knew John Drummond the pilot of the actual "Raid Hot Mama" in WWII. I knew him for 35 years and was kind of his military archivist. He passed on at the age of 96 on September 3, 2016. I know you would want your caricature of his plane to have the correct markings. Thanks Dan Gregory
- I also meant to add that he never had rocket pods on his plane.
