These models are built near to scale and fully textured. They are externally
detailed and include many animateable features. These include landing gear,
landing gear doors, propellers, ailerons, flaps, elevators, and rudder. These models are
also provided in multiple formats.
The RC-12D model being the first of the series, they have been developed through
several versions to this model the RC-12P and beyond. This aircraft the RC-12P
was most different from the RC-12K. It is also is equipped with dual EFIS,
ASE/ACS avionics systems. The ASE suite included the AN/APR-39 radar warning
system and various countermeasures, chafe and flare systems. These began
service in 1992-1993 and were based out of Hunter AFB in Georgia. <
These aircraft are used to gather intelligence through interception of enemy
electronic signals and relay. They are used to monitor enemy radio and other
electronic transmission and signals and relay them to intelligence units for
interpretation and analysis. This mission is similar to the EP-3 Aries series
of aircraft used by the US Navy.
