The 328Jet was a further development of the 328-130 which became the 328-300 and is powered by jet turbofans rather than the turboprops of earlier and smaller variants. The aircraft is also used in a modified capacity for military and governmental use in a variety of missions. It is used as an Australian Maritime Safety Authority and has been used also as an air ambulance and a transport in disaster relief having good STOL qualities. These aircraft have been equipped with FLIR and other search and rescue aids for SAR capability.
