This is a silly hat that I designed and made for a friend. It was sized to match a baby buffalo skull. He has plans to cover it with the skin and fur from the original buffalo. I designed the frame to be lightweight enough to wear on your head without falling over. The frame features slots to accommodate a hard hat harness. The model was printed in ABS and was solvent welded together using a ABS acetone mixture. The total weight with harness is 1400 grams

My replicator Z18 is heavily modified to allow it to function effectively.
Post-PrintingI dissolved ABS filament into acetone. After all the slices were completed printing I brushed the ABS acetone mixture over the entire part sealing any minor print errors and giving the frame more strength. The horn parts were coated and fused together then sanded and re-coated then a wire brush was used while the ABS was still soft to provide texture.
