Squall Leonhart from Final Fantasy 8. Fully rigged and textured.
It is a pretty simple rig, as you can see in the preview video.
Some Maya related info:
Everything is unlocked so you can do your own edits to the model and rig if you so wish.
In some extrem poses you might have to edit the skin weights to make it look better.
The fur on his jacket I created through xGen. The xGen hair is in the outliner, I hope it will work for you, if not then you might have to create your own, or skip it.
I used the option 'Soft Body' (under nParticles) on his hair (and sword trail). Then painted the weight with 'Paint Soft Body Weight Tool', to make the ends of the hair a bit moveable. The Soft Body hair is in the outliner, hide the normal hair, and show the soft body hair. I hope it works for you. When there was a lot of movement I keyed down the 'Goal Smoothness' under the attribute Goal Weights and Objects, so that the hair wouldn't move too much.
