It is presented alongside with it's twin, the Daihatsu Tanto. It is a sign of joint-venture between the Japanese automotive industry with the Malaysian automotive industry. The Delta Arash/Daihatsu Tanto's design is based on the Daihatsu Move's tall body style. Among the main features of this car is an ordinary right side rear door while on the left side, the rear door is a sliding door without an intermediate pillar. The Arash shares the same 659 cc 3-cylinder 12 valve engine from the Tanto, but shares a turbocharger from Fiat. The 659 cc engine produces 82HP. The turbocharger is optional. The engine is also highly economical, it does 72MPG. The Arash is only available in automatic because Delta says it is faster. The car also has 8 airbags, 2 on the dashboard, 4 on each door, and 2 more on the back of the front seats. The overall weight of the car is only 890kg, making it sprint from 0-100KM/H in just 9.8 seconds. It also has a top speed of 158KM/H.
