Greetings, Crafters, Printers, & Designers! Astrium Animus Here, Bringing More Glowing Gems For You All!
This particular design, which is named the GlitterJewel, was not intended to be a light fixture at first! This was taken from one of the many drawings within my design journal, just a quick sketch for the concept of what was originally a dwarven-style ring inset with large, well-cut gemstones (a departure from today's modern jewelry designs, which utilize rather small gemstones, mostly diamonds no bigger than a pea). One year later, while looking through the ideas that were jotted down, I revisited the page while adding new chapters to the table of contents, saw the sketch, and decided to make it a wall light fixture! (it's difficult [& expensive] to find a decent jewelsmith to make it a reality anyways)
The mount is composed of brushed aluminium, with most of the center coated in polished chrome to help reflect more light, therefore increasing luminosity (a common trend with most of the light fixtures here). Five large lightdomes represent frosted LED bulbs, the light of which is filtered through the light pink crystalline glass in front, shaped into the faceted faces of one large hexagonal gemstone surrounded by four smaller trapezoidal gems, framed in a gold-plated support that slightly seperate each gem
This was quite unexpected, to take a simple doodle and actually make something out of it, but if that same drawing can be used as the basis for a light source, then I wonder...
