DAA Library 3D model

Description

Greetings, Crafters, Printers, & Designers! Astrium Animus Here, Presenting One Of My Larger Creations For The First Time! (This design would have been released earlier, if not for certain events outside my control. Oh well:))

The Design, Art, & Architecture Library (D.A.A) originally started off as a general public library, like those scattered throughout the city. Whereas the libraries I've been to were single-floor buildings, the D.A.A has two levels, the ground level and the upper level. The entire building does NOT contain any lumber in its construction, being instead composed of stone, concrete, brick, and steel. Whatever wood that is used is instead utilized for decor and furniture, never for the structural integrity of the building. This will significantly lower the risk of fire and allow the library to withstand the test of time. Ground level houses six study rooms, two employee only rooms, both restrooms, and the staircase leading up to the upper level, with public desks found beneath it. The upper level, aside from having lounge chairs and book tables placed around the floor, also has an outdoor balcony, so that readers can ge a breath of fresh air without leaving the building with unchecked books.

In order to reduce the use of artificial light, the library uses large windows in order to allow the maximum amount of sunlight to illuminate the interior. Even the roof is designed with a glass ceiling for sunlight at noon. Once it gets dark outside, decorative light fixtures will keep the interior illuminated and (in the case of the ground level) add a splash of color to the interior!

This is the first large design to be uploaded to this account. Many of the furnishings and light sources that were uploaded previously are used in this building, and many of the textures come from V-Ray, which is also where the trees and shrubs originate from.

Lets see what 2024 Has in store for us all...

_Alla prossima, Amici e Nouva Arrivati, Creadores y diseñadores! _

P.S. There was an issue trying to export the model as a .dwg for AutoCAD, so i'll be looking for a way to resolve this issue. Other than that, go nuts on editing the model!
