Is Kodama plugin actually good to use?

Discussion started by marco-lobartolo

Hi everyone, I was trying to re-upload my Blender file for my first asset pack published on the platform. The first upload went pretty well as I got a 100% score.

This time I wanted to use the Kodama plugin cause I was curious about it and it also seems like a very helpful tool to inherit good professional standards when uploading stuff to sell. Unfortunately my experience with the addon has been very poor so far: my score, all of a sudden was like 40% or so, but maybe it's my fault and I don't really get how to use it.

What really frustrated me was the fact that I have all texture maps correctly connected to the principled BSDF, infact I can see the textures in Viewport Shading mode perfectly, but still getting critical issues like "Textures used in materials with incorrect image mode", even "Missing textures" which doesn't seem to be true. Also a good part of the documentation is still missing, as when you click on the issue, directly from the plugin interface, you get redirected to a webpage saying "Content will be added soon".

Are you guys and gals using this plugin when uploading your assets in the store or are you simply doing it manually through the cgtrader web interface?

Thanks for any help or advice you could give.
