This drawing printed well, flat on the plate with no supports needed. I used Elegoo ABS-Like, Grey resin. This gave the model the resilience needed when flexing it to fit bearings and needle-point, 11.5mm , spoked wheels.
The frame is finely-proportioned, with basic detail. It will reward any time I can spend adding details like bolt heads, brackets and springs.
I had to edit the file to allow for wheel bearings and needle-point wheelsets. Also, I had to change the coupler fitting plates. I use Kaydee #5 couplers that need 11.5mm clearance under the frame.
I used 3DBuilder to draw and edit.
For my HO layout, I aim to use this base to make an early 1900s, simple, 3rd class, passenger carriage that ran from Broken Hill (NSW, Australia) to Tarrawingee.
