The Hook Rapier is a 3d print friendly rapier, based on and inspired by the rapier wielded by Captain Hook in the 1953 Peter Pan animated feature. While inspired by the animated film, the sword has been designed with realistic proportions and aspects of 17th century rapiers. Aside from its structure, a swirling bit of scroll work has been added to the blade. The rapier grip, hilt and guard can be fully assembled without glue.
The sword has been designed to be printed in parts, making it easier to print in a variety of materials. The model has been test printed in resin at 40% scale, but should print well on FDM printers as well. Fully assembled, the rapier is over 800mm long. The blade has been provided in several formats and parts. The blade is available as a 730mm and 830mm. The 830mm blade has been provided in 5 parts to make it easier to print on small format printers. Blade 01, 02, and 05 are unique, making assembly easy to do, as parts 03 and 04 should be interchangeable.

Assembly
Insert the 'blade brace' into the top of the 'cross guard.' The pointy end of the brace should protrude from the top, not the flat end.
Thread the bottom of the 'cross guard' through the circular end of the 'grip guard.' The arm of the 'grip guard' should flow down and align with one of the pegs protruding from the 'cross guard' above.
Thread the 'cross guard' bottom through the wide end of the 'grip collar.'
Snap the 'grip' onto the pronged peg of the 'cross guard' to secure the previously attached pieces.
Snap the 'grip bottom' onto the bottom of the 'grip.'
Finally, insert the blade into the hilt through the 'blade brace' on top of the 'cross guard' to complete assembly.
