Game of Thrones-Inspired Bookends – Fire Meets Ice on Your Bookshelf!
For true Game of Thrones fans, I created this digital 3D model of bookends as a symbolic tribute to two of the most iconic houses of Westeros. These are designed for 3D printing, allowing you to bring the world of Westeros directly to your bookshelf!
Left Side: Targaryen – “Fury and Flame”
The left bookend features the legendary sigil of House Targaryen — the three-headed dragon — with the phrase “Fury and Flame.” It represents the passion, fire, and explosive legacy of the Targaryen bloodline. I personally used a vivid red filament for this side to symbolize the dragons’ flames.
Right Side: Stark – “Cold and Strong”
The right bookend showcases the iconic Stark direwolf with the phrase “Cold and Strong”, reflecting the resilience and enduring strength of the North. For this side, I used a silver filament, representing the icy contrast of the North.
Printing Notes & Customization
This digital model was printed on a Bambu P1S in my tests, but it is compatible with any FDM printer.
Each side can be printed separately (as I did) to achieve maximum visual impact: one hour for the Stark side, one hour for the Targaryen side. I recommend using silver for Stark and red for Targaryen to preserve the Fire vs. Ice contrast.
It is also possible to print both sides in one go, depending on your printer and preferences.
Inspired by other 3D models I found online, I designed my own version with smooth curves in every contact point with the books, ensuring no damage to your precious volumes.
Dimensions (each bookend):
Height: 14 cm
Width: 15.5 cm
Depth: 4 cm
Ready for Printing
This is a digital .STL file for 3D printing, not a physical product.
No assembly required – each side is a solid piece, ready to print and use.
Rounded edges protect your books and ensure a perfect fit on your shelf.
Perfect for Westeros Fans
Whether for yourself or as a unique gift, these bookends combine storytelling, aesthetics, and functionality — a true throne for your favorite books!
