It was for storing a 2s Li-Ion Battery like on RC MN Model using, with this you can place the battery on the trunk/back of the car, there is a hole for a battery cable connector.

You need a M2 screw @4 pc for attaching the hook, dimension 64x84x30mm it should fit in most rc 1:12 trunk (mn90,mn99s,fj45)
