A powerful bust of the extinct woolly rhinoceros (Coelodonta antiquitatis), showing its massive horn, thick hide, and characteristic heavy jaw. The sculpt captures rugged texture detail in the skin and folds, ideal for paleontology displays, fantasy art pieces, or decor. The model is watertight and ready for STL export, suitable for both FDM and resin printing.
Printing Details:
Printer Type: FDM or Resin
Layer Height / Resolution: 0.1‑0.2 mm for FDM; 0.05‑0.1 mm for resin to capture finer skin texture
Infill: ~20‑30% (gyroid or cubic for strength without too much material)
Walls / Shells: 2‑3 perimeters, with thicker shell on horn and rigid areas
Supports: Needed under chin, horn overhang, ears, and rear of bust
Material: PLA or PETG for FDM; standard or tough resin; optional flexible filament for accent textures
Build Plate Adhesion: Use brim or raft especially for heavy or large bust to prevent warping
Hollowing & Drain Holes: If printing large, hollow interior with ~2‑3 mm wall and add drain holes for resin or material savings
Post‑Processing: Sanding/filling joints, optionally priming & painting to highlight texture; resin prints may require washing & curing
