Dachshunds, often affectionately called wiener dogs or sausage dogs, are a small breed with a long body, short legs, and distinctive elongated shape. They come in three coat varieties: smooth, long-haired, and wire-haired, with colors ranging from red and black to cream and dapple. Dachshunds are known for their playful and curious nature, as well as their boldness and determination.
