The same woods that had the order to be destroyed in the near future. One day, the old man was found by a worker, standing in the forest, with blank face, like it was a bad case of Alzheimer's.There was no home to go as he did not speak, and no one in town recognized him. In the meanwhile the forest was being cut down. With every tree cut the old man grew weaker and weaker. As he did not remember who he was, he also did not know how was he in the middle of the forest again, standing face to face with a pile of death trees.The little rest of soul left in him vanished in that moment; He was now part of the forest. And so it happened that in the next day where he stood, was standing now a massive tree nearly 300years old. After that day strange things started happening, workers, campers...began to disappear. With each disappearance a new tree emerged and the forest grew stronger.Story says in the nights of winter when the moon is high on the sky, a shadow creeps behind the bushes and consumes the souls of the ones that come to these woods.
