DESCRIPTION

3D printable model of the world famous Trojan sword. Can be printed on a printer with a maximum build height of 200mm or greater. Assembly by inserting a 1/4threaded rod of approximately 24 in length down the center hole. Use epoxy to lock rod in place at multiple points throughout the length of the sword. For best results, tension rod while the epoxy sets to eliminate any slop in the final product. To achieve a shiny finish on the blade, use aluminum tape and carefully and slowly place tape in long strips across blade of sword. Depending upon the level of accuracy desired, the hilt can also be sanded starting with 200 grit sand paper and going down to 2000 grit. A simple metal polish such as Brasso can be used to give the final product an authentic look.

If you make this item and have and procedural changes that you think work better than those that I have outlined, I'd love to hear them!

The top blade part is 343.8 mm in length. Unless you put it and a fairly diagonal angle, it cannot be printed on a 200 tall printer. But other than that, it looks to be very well done. If the blade was broken into 3 pieces instead of 2 it would be perfect.
