The Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Maul wielded a red double-bladed lightsaber. After it was cut in half in 32 BBY, it became a single-bladed lightsaber. When it was double-bladed, Maul used the saberstaff on countless missions for his master, Darth Sidious. With it he embarked on missions to kill Jedi and to eliminate enemies. Maul used the saberstaff to eliminate Jedi Anoon Bondara, Siolo Ur Manka, Qui-Gon Jinn and Darsha Assant. He used the lightsaber in his mission to cripple the Black Sun criminal syndicate. After his return to the galaxy, Maul used the weapon to slaughter a village of people on Raydonia and used it to kill Jedi Bruu Jun-Fan, Ko Solok, Grohto and Finn Ertay. Maul used the lightsaber in a battle on Moorjhone and in a duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi on Florrum. In addition to this, he used it on missions to Nal Hutta and Jabba Desilijic Tiure's palace. On Mandalore, Maul used it to defeat Death Watch leader Pre Vizsla. He used it in a duel with Darth Sidious.
