Description
The Orcinus is a military build variant of the Balaenoptra Class civilian tanker-refinery. The Terran United Federation implemented the construction of 50 of these ships fitted to military specs and armament. These were used in forward operations to support the fuel needs of distant fleets. Although most capital ships could skim fuel themselves, quality obtained through refinement was not possible. The Orcinus provided a better quality fuel source. Lightly armed and armored for self protection. These ships were usually deployed with a small destroyed/frigate group.Tanker-Refinery Milspec version.
