DESCRIPTION

Please rate this model. The Frontier Class strike carrier began as a retrofit of the Omega Class support carrier. Support carriers remained a safe distance away from the main line and lent their fighter support for close in defense of the capitol ships. This essetially left them defenseless and it wasn't long before that weakness was exploited. A retrofit program was started to make them more battle ready. Retrofit changes of ships still in the shipyards soon lead to more modifications from the original design, making the ships a new class within their own rights. So was born the Frontier Class strike carrier. Not only capable defending itself, but could even hold a position on the line with it's newly added spinal mount and heavy guns. Later builds even accommodated the newer class of fighters (note the extended width of the launch bay doors). This ship is force to be reckoned with. (Omega Class coming soon) UPDATE: Improved turret detail and added missile launchers fore and aft.
